1. The Brew Project

3683 5th Ave, San Diego, CA, US, 92103
(619) 795-7890 Website, Facebook, Instagram

Laid-back bar & eatery serving hearty plates alongside regional micro-brews, local spirits & wine. Food menu offers avocado salads, carne asada fries, pulled pork sliders, and BBQ chicken sandwiches. Patio seating is dog friendly.

Love their vast selection of local beers on tap. They have a puppymenu for their dog friendly patio. The servers were all extremely kind, friendly, and provided prompt services. Yelp Review

2. The Patio on Lamont Street

4445 Lamont St, San Diego, CA, US, 92109
(858) 412-4648 Website, Facebook, Instagram

Cozy, wood-accented eatery with heated outdoor patio serving New American small plates & drinks. Upon arrival, Fido will receive a gourmet house-made dog biscuit and a fresh bowl of water. The open-air patio attracts lots of pooches, so reservations are recommended.

The food is consistently good. They like dogs, but small-to-medium is probably better because it’s a bit cramped. They provide a yummy treat and bowl of water (Foxy said the treat was yummy, I didn’t try it). Great drinks. Great brunch, lunch & dinner. Parking is a total nightmare, but they have valet on weekends. BringFido Review

3. Pier Cafe

885 W Harbor Dr, San Diego, CA, US, 92101
(619) 239-3968 Website, Facebook

Pier Cafe is a casual beachfront eatery with tasty surf and turf and dog-friendly outdoor seating with beautiful ocean views. Choose from an array of dishes such as shrimp po’boys, mixed seafood fry, citrus marinated seabass, jambalaya, shredded pork tacos, and top sirloin. Opens daily at 11am.

All of the waiters and hostesses were so friendly and brought her water and kept checking in on me and the puppy. Food was great as well and a good patio view at sunset. We will be back. BringFido Review

4. The Regal Beagle

3659 India St #101, San Diego, CA, US, 92103
(619) 297-2337 Website, Facebook

Quirky & fun tavern offering sausages, sandwiches, burgers & a large menu of locally crafted beers. The Regal Beagle is pet friendly and serves great local bar with a constantly rotating selection of craft beers. Dogs are welcomed on the patio and the bartenders will gladly fill the dog dish with fresh water.

The Regal Beagle is absolutely awesome. 24 craft beers on tap, and the taps are constantly rotating. Decent prices on the beers, too. Some can get pricey, but by and large you can get a pint of really good beer without going broke. I do think the sausages are a touch expensive. I’m sure the quality of the meat warrants it, but I need just a bit more food for $8.50. The Wednesday wings deal rocks. Oh, and can’t forget… they allow dogs on the patio! So, you can enjoy some great craft beers and hang out with your pooch. They’ve got a water dish that they’ll gladly put fresh water in for you, and one evening a cook even threw my dog a bone. The Beagle is one of my favorite bars ever. So glad it’s so close to home. BringFido Review

5. Lazy Dog Cafe

1202 Camino Del Rio N, San Diego, CA, US, 92108
(619) 481-6191 Website, Facebook, Instagram

A dog-themed eatery with cozy surroundings, dog-friendly seating, and an eclectic menu of hearty American eats. Menu favorites include campfire pot roast, BBQ baby back ribs, three-cheese pizza, fish tacos, chicken parmesan, sweet and spicy shrimp, and fettuccine Alfredo.

I really dig this place. Not just because of the dog friendliness, but both service and food is consistently great. Been several times for brunch, which is yummy. I highly recommend the breakfast pizza. It’s outrageously delicious and very shareable. Yelp Review

6. Cafe Chloe

721 9th Ave, San Diego, CA, US, 92101
(619) 232-3242 Website, Facebook, Instagram
Cafe Chloe is a great spot for a tasty French lunch, and if you bring your pup you can sit together on the patio.

Cafe Chloe greeted my family and my THREE (yes three) dogs with open arms today. They were kind and accepting of the doggies. An added plus is that they have super yummy food!!! We will be going back soon. BringFido Review

7. The Landing Grille

1717 Quivira Rd, San Diego, CA, US, 92109
(619) 222-3317 Website, Facebook

The Landing Grille serves tasty eats all day, but early risers flock here for monstrous plates of yummy breakfast food that can be enjoyed at a dog-friendly outdoor table.

We came to this little restaurant before going to SeaWorld for breakfast and really enjoyed the atmosphere. We sat outside by the docks and watched all the boats come in and out. Our little pitbull puppy really liked it too! We heard seal ions nearby, it was really nice. 🙂 BringFido review
